I signed up for this free e lesson on how to teach kids knife skills and the intro video was really interesting!

The 3 steps for teaching are

1. Demonstrate
2. Guide
3. Coach to independence.

These are not miracle steps, but it reminds me to break down my instructions to the children. AND also face them while talking so they're not distracted.
