What was it like living in Chinatown in the 1940s? In his debut children’s book Grandfather’s Little Room, architect and author Francis Wong Hooe Wai takes you back in time to his grandparents’ living quarters that were shared with carpenters, samsui women and many, many families. Enjoy the story and join in the fun solving riddles, folding origami and singing nursery rhymes from old Chinatown.
